As a rule we use Lasers on the more prominent facial veins, particularly those around the nose and the more prominent Spider Veins. Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) is usually on the more diffuse smaller veins, although we frequently we use a combination of both devices.
In the case of Acne Rosacea, the light destroys the organism which is thought to cause the condition. After a course of treatment, a remission of up to 18months is common, although a maintenance treatment every 6 months is often recommended.
In the most persistent of problems, tiny multiple doses of Botox carefully injected into the superficial Dermis and epidermis can be very effective.
